Howya, I’m Niamh. I’m a sports writer from Galway, and I’ve been following Irish racing, the GAA and the Premier League for more than ten years. That has meant a lot of Sundays shouting at the telly and a lot of days out at Ballybrit.
From Ballybrit to a Betting Blog
Whenever friends asked me which bookie to sign up with, I couldn’t point them to a comparison site I trusted. Most of them read like they were written by someone who’d never placed a bet, and few were upfront about licensing or the catches in the small print.
So I started writing my own. betting-ireland.ie is just me, comparing the betting sites Irish punters actually use, the way a punter actually uses them: the offers, the payouts, the apps, and how they handle the sports we care about here. My current shortlist of the top betting sites in Ireland is where most people start.
What You’ll Get From Me (and What You Won’t)
- Honest opinions. If something annoys me about a bookie, I’ll say so.
- The licence question answered plainly. Every review tells you whether the bookie holds an Irish GRAI licence or not.
- Irish sport first. GAA, Irish racing, rugby and the League of Ireland get proper attention.
- Clear terms. I read the T&Cs so you don’t have to.
Keeping the Lights On
I may earn a commission when you sign up to a bookie through my links. It doesn’t cost you anything, and it never decides where a bookie ranks.
