Betovo Ireland Review 2026: 100% Up to €250, Brilliant GAA and One Big Licence Question

If I were ranking on betting alone, Betovo would be pushing for the top spot. The GAA coverage runs from the National League right through to the All-Ireland, there’s UK and Irish racing with streams, and the welcome package is the biggest on my list. For a punter who bets on hurling on a Sunday and the horses midweek, it ticks a lot of boxes.

Betovo welcome offer100% up to €250Curaçao licence · not on GRAI register8.8/1018+ · T&Cs apply

But I don’t rank on betting alone, and that’s why Betovo sits third, behind Midnite and NetBet. Betovo holds a Curaçao licence, not an Irish one, and it isn’t on the GRAI register. It’s also a young bookie, only launched in 2024, and some sites list it as unavailable in Ireland. Read the licence section below before you lodge a cent, and make up your own mind. If you’re happy with the trade-off, it’s one of the most enjoyable sportsbooks I’ve used.

Up to €1,000 Over Three Lodgements: Betovo’s Bonus Ladder

The headline deal is a 100% match on your first deposit, up to €250. That’s the first rung of a three-deposit package that can reach €1,000 in total: your second deposit gets 75% up to €500, and your third gets 75% up to €250.

Claiming the first-deposit match

  1. Check that Betovo accepts sign-ups from Ireland before anything else (more on that below).
  2. Register an account and verify your details.
  3. Lodge at least €10 using a qualifying method. Skrill and Neteller deposits may not count, so a debit card, Revolut or bank transfer is the safer bet.
  4. Your 100% match lands as bonus funds, up to €250.
  5. Work through the wagering within 30 days.

Wagering, odds and the markets that don’t count

Wagering is around 5–6x the bonus. One source quotes 5x at minimum odds of 1.5, while others say 6x at 1.59, so check the T&Cs on the day you sign up. You have 30 days to use it.

The bigger catch is what doesn’t count. Racing, greyhound and Asian handicap bets reportedly don’t count towards wagering, and Skrill or Neteller deposits may not qualify for the bonus in the first place.

Worth chasing, or just the first rung?

For the size of it, the first-deposit match is good value. Wagering of around 5–6x is fairly gentle by offshore standards, and 30 days is a sensible window. The sting is the racing exclusion, which is a bit of a kick in the shins for a bookie whose racing is one of its best features. If you’re mostly a racing punter, you’ll be clearing this bonus on football, rugby or GAA instead.

My advice: don’t chase the full €1,000. Take the first-deposit match if it suits the amount you’d lodge anyway, and only go further if the terms still make sense to you. Never lodge more than you’d normally bet just to reach a bigger number.

Curaçao, Not the GRAI: Is Betovo Safe for Irish Punters?

Here’s the plain version. Betovo is run by SoftGenius N.V. and holds a licence from Curaçao. It is not licensed in Ireland and does not appear on the GRAI register.

Why does that matter? Since 1 July 2026, under the Gambling Regulation Act 2024, bookies taking bets from people in Ireland need a remote betting licence from the Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland (GRAI). Licensed operators have to follow Irish rules: no credit cards, no VIP schemes, restrictions on inducements, and they must honour the National Gambling Exclusion Register, which lets you self-exclude from every licensed bookie at once.

None of that applies to Betovo. If you have a dispute, the Irish regulator can’t step in for you, and signing up to the exclusion register won’t stop you using it. That’s the trade you’re making, and it’s the reason Betovo sits behind the two licensed bookies on my list.

There’s a practical point too. Some sites report that Betovo is “currently unavailable in Ireland”. I can’t promise it will accept an Irish sign-up on the day you try, so check that first, before you lodge. If it won’t take you, don’t try to work around it.

If you value regulator protection above everything else, Midnite and NetBet, at numbers one and two on my list, both hold GRAI licences. I’d rather you weigh this up properly than skip past it.

From the National League to Ballybrit: What You Can Back at Betovo

Betting on a hurling match from home on a mobile phone

Betovo lists more than 35 sports, but these are the ones Irish punters will care about.

Hurling and Gaelic football done properly

This is where Betovo really earns its place. It covers both Gaelic football and hurling, from the National League all the way to the All-Ireland, with some in-play markets as well. Plenty of bookies treat GAA as an afterthought with a match result and little else. Betovo treats it as a proper sport, and on a big championship weekend that makes a difference.

Irish and UK racing, with the dogs on the side

UK and Irish racing are both on the card, along with greyhounds, and you can stream UK and Irish races. Whether you’re following Leopardstown at Christmas, Punchestown or the Galway Races at Ballybrit, there’s plenty to get stuck into.

The one thing missing is Best Odds Guaranteed, which I’d normally expect from a bookie that wants racing punters. If you back a horse at 6/1 and it starts at 8/1, you’re stuck with your 6/1. Over a season of racing, that adds up.

Rugby, football and 30-odd other sports

Rugby is covered, so the Six Nations and the provinces are there for anyone who wants a flutter on Leinster, Munster, Connacht or Ulster. Football is on the menu too, and it’s the only sport with a bet builder. Beyond those, the 35+ sports mean you won’t run short of options on a quiet Tuesday night.

Reading Betovo’s Prices, and the Tools Around Them

If you’re new to reading prices, my guide on how betting odds work explains fractional and decimal odds and what they tell you about value. It’s worth a read before you compare Betovo’s prices against anyone else’s.

On features, here’s what you get:

  • Cash out: yes. Handy when an acca is three legs in and your nerves are shot.
  • Bet builder: football only. You can’t build a combined bet on a hurling match, which is a pity given how good the GAA coverage is otherwise.
  • Live streaming: on selected events, including UK and Irish racing.
  • In-play: some in-play GAA markets, which is more than many bookies bother with. For other sports, check what’s live on the day.

The missing piece for me is still Best Odds Guaranteed on racing. It’s not a dealbreaker, but paired with the racing exclusion on the bonus, it makes Betovo feel stronger for GAA than for the horses.

Revolut In, Crypto Out: Betovo’s Cashier

MethodDepositsWithdrawal time
Visa / Mastercard debitYes3–5 business days
RevolutYes1–3 business days
SEPA bank transferYesNot stated
Apple PayYesNot stated
Bitcoin / EthereumYesNear-instant once approved
PayPalNoNot available

The good news is that Revolut is supported, and that’s how half the country moves money around these days. Apple Pay is there too, and the minimum deposit is €10. There’s no PayPal, which will annoy some people, and card withdrawals at 3–5 business days are on the slow side.

If speed matters to you, Revolut is the sensible middle ground at 1–3 business days. Crypto is quickest once a withdrawal is approved, but prices swing, and it’s not something I’d recommend to a beginner. Remember too that Skrill and Neteller deposits may not qualify for the welcome bonus, so think about your payment method before your first lodgement.

No App Store Download, Just a Home-Screen Shortcut

There’s no native Betovo app on the App Store or Google Play. Instead, Betovo offers a web app: you open the site on your mobile, add it to your home screen, and it behaves a lot like an app from there.

For quick bets it does the job. But I prefer a proper native app, especially for in-play betting and streaming, where speed matters and you’ll miss things like Face ID logins and push notifications when your bet settles. If a slick app is high on your list, Midnite or 20bet would suit you better. It’s one of the reasons Betovo isn’t higher up my rankings.

Chat and Email, but No One to Ring

Support is through live chat and email. There’s no phone line, so if you’re someone who likes to ring and talk to a person, you won’t get that here. Live chat is the quickest way to get an answer, and email is there for anything that needs a paper trail, like account verification questions.

Given that you can’t turn to the Irish regulator if something goes wrong, I’d keep copies of any important exchanges with support. It’s good practice with any offshore bookie, and it gives you something to point to if a dispute drags on.

Betovo’s Highs and Lows

What I like

  • Excellent GAA coverage, hurling and football, from the National League to the All-Ireland, with some in-play
  • UK and Irish racing plus greyhounds, with racing streams
  • The biggest welcome package on my list, with fair wagering of around 5–6x
  • Revolut and Apple Pay accepted

What bugs me

  • Curaçao licence only, not on the GRAI register, and some sites report it as unavailable in Ireland
  • No native app, only a web app
  • No Best Odds Guaranteed, and racing bets reportedly don’t count towards the bonus
  • Card withdrawals are slowish at 3–5 business days, and there’s no PayPal

My take: worth a look for the GAA markets and the bonus, but only once you’ve weighed up the licence question.

Should You Bet With Betovo?

Betovo is the bookie I’d point a GAA-mad punter towards for its betting alone. Its hurling and Gaelic football coverage, from the National League to the All-Ireland with some in-play, is among the most complete on my list, the racing streams are a real plus, and the welcome offer is generous without silly wagering.

But I won’t pretend the licence doesn’t matter. It’s Curaçao only, it’s not on the GRAI register, and it’s a young brand. That means less protection than you’d get from Midnite or NetBet, full stop, and it’s why Betovo sits third. If you’re comfortable with that, and Betovo accepts your sign-up from Ireland, it’s a deadly sportsbook. If you’re not, go with one of the GRAI-licensed options and don’t think twice about it.

Whatever you choose, set a budget and stick to it. If betting stops being fun, ring Gambling Care free on 1800 753 753 or visit gamblingcare.ie.
